About AB0R

Hello. My name is Dave Erickson and I operate Amateur Radio Station AB0R.

This page gives a little background about me but I am also good on QRZ.com.
Here is a link to my QRZed page: https://www.qrz.com/db/ab0r

Station Information

Ham Radio Operators in the United States are licensed to operate on specific frequencies by the FCC. In other countries there are similar arrangements coordinated by the IARU. Ham Radio is an international community. We mostly share the same bands in all IARU member countries. (With a few exceptions)

The leading advocate for ham radio in the United States is the ARRL, of which I am a member.

I was first licensed as a Technician and assigned the call: ke0wnz
I soon upgraded to General Class and took the vanity call: k0dom
Shortly after that I upgraded to Extra Class and to my current call, AB0R, also through the vanity system.

I am a student of the CW Academy, and a member of the skcc: 23652

Radio Activity

I am pretty active on the air. My station is capable of operation on the following bands: 160m, 80m, 60m, 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m, 10m, 6m, 2m, 1.25m, 70cm.

I am the most active on 80 meters and 2 meters with plenty of activity elsewhere as well.

I use the following modes on the various bands: CW, AM, FM, SSB, FT4, FT8, RTTY, ax25 and more.

Also see the Contact Me page for specific radio activity and hopefully we can talk on the air sometime.
